The
Young Friends of Opportunity, Inc. comprises dynamic, young professionals
committed to supporting the center's children and their families.
The group provides additional enrichment programs including dance,
music, drama, art, field trips, and sports. The Young Friends’
Scholarship Fund provides emergency tuition assistance in the
event a parent loses a job, becomes ill or injured, or other crises
preclude payment. The Young Friends hold events throughout the
year to benefit the Scholarship Fund and make special efforts
at holiday times, sponsoring turkey drives at Thanksgiving, "angel
adoptions" at Christmas and Easter baskets at Easter.
