ENROLLMENT / TUITION POLICY

THE CHILD CARE INDUSTRY IS REGULATED BY GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES AND FAILURE TO FOLLOW TEACHER TO STUDENT RATIOS AND EXCEEDING LICENSING CAPACITY WILL RESULT IN FINES OR CLOSURE OF A CHILD CARE CENTER. THEREFORE, WE MUST ENFORCE OUR TUITION POLICY (BELOW) BY WITHDRAWING STUDENTS OF PARENTS WHO DO NOT FOLLOW IT.

Opportunity, Inc. provides affordable preschool and childcare to families in need allowing them to become and remain gainfully employed. Tuition is based on a sliding fee scale according to income, and ranges from $75.00 to $165.00 a week (according to the Children’s Services Council, the average cost of center-based child care in Palm Beach County is $160.00 a week – higher for infants). Full and one-half scholarships may be made based on need and availability, and a new Young Friends of Opportunity organization works to raise these funds.

Without this assistance, most of Opportunity’s families could not afford quality child care and would be forced to resort to sub-standard care or to stay at home with their children and live on welfare. We accept Family Central subsidy, which replaced most child care subsidy programs, including Child Care Resource and Referral and the School District of Palm Beach County. We are an active participant in the Florida Universal Pre Kindergarten Program.

TUITION RATES - July 2009- June 2010

Tuition is charged according to verifiable family income. Families are required to provide documentation upon acceptance into the program and at any time upon request of the administration. Opportunity, Inc only accepts children of working parents. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, baby food and baby formula are included in the weekly tuition.

* VPK tuition is based on estimated subsidies from The State and a valid VPK certificate is required to be submitted to Opportunity, Inc prior to the child's entrance into the program for the reflected tuition rate.

Any additional funding through outside organizations is the parents responsibility to maintain. Any changes in their status will be reflected in their tuition
